Chris kept in good contact with Barb and myself through email. My face always lit up when I saw his name in my inbox. Chris you became so special to me in such a short period of time. Thank you for your friendship and especially for hijacking me to bring me to Subway when I couldn’t face another bun and cold cuts after Duncan's 70th. I will always remember and cherish your comradeship.

It's been almost three weeks since Chris passed away and I miss him as much today as then. No matter who you were to him he treated you like a princess; I miss his friendly phonecalls and causal stop bys. To the Roy family, you are still in my thoughts and prayers as well as many others. All the best to your family in the future.
The amazing thing is whenever I think of him he puts a smile on my face now just as he did then.

I have some great memories of Chris but my favourite is when Chris was just around 13 years old. I had just been away for the summer and the whole family as always was at the airport to greet me. A few days later Chris requested a song for me on the radio. He asked his Mom to phone me and have me tune into the right station. Then about an hour later I heard a knock on my apt. window and there was Chris - on his bike. He had ridden his bike all the way across town to see me again. Remember he was only 13 years old - what a guy! He made me feel so special!! I loved him so much and am honoured that he was my nephew.

I thought I would share my favorite Chris story, but I had a hard time deciding on which was my favorite. This happened about a year ago, right after my family and I moved to an acreage close to Chris's grandparents. It was about six in the evening, and I was in the kitchen when I saw a head go past the window. I asked my son,"Is your dad outside?" My husband replied from the living room, "I'm right here". I said, "Then someone's in the yard, but I don't see a vehicle." Just then, the doorbell rang, and it was Chris. He had come over on a quad, so that's why I didn't see a vehicle. I thought maybe he was stuck somewhere and needed help, so I asked him, "What can I do for you?" He looked at me like I was crazy and said, "I came for the tour!" He came in, and we gave him a tour. A routine visit for Chris, but it made a huge impact on our family. Before he had left, he had helped my son with his phonics homework, gave each of my girls a piggyback ride, discussed sports with my husband and chatted with me about work, family and how it felt to have moved "home". After he left, my husband said, "Does he do that a lot?" and I said, "Yes, he does." My kids raved about him for weeks, and looking back now, I realized that to Chris, everyone was important, whether you were 2 or 30. We'll miss his visits, his laughter, and his ability to make you feel like you were the most important person in the world. Rob, Louise, Jen and Bob, and the whole Roy and Morrison families, Chris was like a part of our family and we know we'll miss him. Our loss is heaven's gain. My last memory of Chris is quite typical of the kind of guy he was. A bunch of us were out for Monday Night Football and although he had to leave early, he discreetly bought a round of drinks for the table when he was clearing the bill at the counter. He left before the drinks even arrived - he never waited to get recognition or to receive gratitude for his act. It was just the kind of gesture he would do everyday for eveyone he knew. Things like this will have a lasting effect on all of us. Let us learn from the way Chris lived his life - it will make the world he leaves behind a much better place. God bless you Chris and your entire family. You will always be in my prayers.

My most recent memory of Chris is from Tracy & Curtis' wedding this summer. Jeff and I took over a ticket-selling shift from Chris, but he lingered to crack jokes and make us laugh. We realized there wouldn't be much money made off the drinks that night when Chris' grandfather Duncan came up to buy, I think, two tickets. Chris said, "Yeah, sure, Grandpa, here you go", and handed him over about twenty with a wink. So funny and delightful. We gave him the room number of Tracy's girlfriends from out of town as ours, because we knew otherwise we'd be up partying with him till the sun came up. I wish we had. The biggest comfort about him leaving us too soon is that he truly enjoyed the life he lived. I feel absolutely blessed to have known him. He will always live in the moments we don't take ourselves too seriously, and stop to bring a smile to someone else's face. All my love and thoughts to the whole family.

Hi Guys,
I thought that I'd share of one of my Chris Stories. It's a thought that actually didn't come to me until Thursday, on our way from Saskatoon to St.Louis.
It was last summer. The day was one of those blistering days.(one that we haven't had in a long time). I had been working at the Carehome in St.Louis, as I do every Friday afternoon. My day of work had come to an end, it was time to head home. As I opened my car door, the over powering heat wave from the inside of my car was overwelming.I went to throw my bag in the car and I noticed an Ice Cold Pepsi inside, just laying on my seat.
I found that quite strange, but thought that my husband must have dropped it off for me. Once I returned home, I thanked him for the drink. It, of course, was not him....
2 days later, I answered the phone. It was Chris, He right away asked, Hey, How was that Pepsi?
Chris was an amazing guy.We all loved him dearly. He will be in our hearts forever, and his stories will be shared with all.
