5th Prudhomme Hockey Feb 13 2010

The Chris Roy Challenge Cup 3 on 3 hockey tournament will be held in Prud'homme Saskatchewan on Saturday February 13, 2010. This year marks the fifth year of this annual hockey tournament.

The cost is $25 per player and includes a roast beef supper.

It was a great tournament in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 with a wonderful turnout. Eight teams participated in each year of this three-on-three hockey tournament. It brought friends and family together to visit and play a game that Chris loved. People also bowled and played cards and the day ended with a wonderful meal.

In memory of Chris, all proceeds from the hockey tournament this year will go towards the God's Littlest Angels orphanage in Haiti.

God's Littlest Angels is a Haitian orphanage located in the mountains above Pétion-Ville, close to the village of Fermathe. The majority of the children brought to the orphanage are between the ages of newborn and 7 years old. They also have older children, sibling groups, and children with special needs waiting for adoptive parents.

God's Littlest Angels has ministered to the children of Haiti since 1994 and has been involved in international adoptions since 1997. GLA is involved in several children's ministries in the local community. In the year 2000, GLA implemented a school sponsorship program for children unable to attend school due to the lack of funds. Today, more than 200 children attend school sponsored by people in North America and Europe.

Also at the tournament, there will be the opportunity to donate directly to the God's Littlest Angels orphanage.
