ROY -Christopher (Chris) Duncan, of Kinistino and Saskatoon, passed away accidentally on November 5, 2005. Chris was born to Robert and Louise Roy in Prince Albert on June 29, 1984. While continuing to farm west of Hoey, the family moved to Saskatoon where he received his schooling. Chris attended St. Matthew Elementary School and then Holy Cross High School. He was presently enrolled in the Agricultural Technician Apprenticeship Program at SIAST, Kelsey Campus, Saskatoon. He was currently working at Farm World Equipment Ltd in Kinistino SK. He thoroughly enjoyed his past two and one half years at Farm World as well as in the community of Kinistino. It was there where he made many good friends. Chris had a passion for farming and was out at the family farm many evenings after a long day at work and on most weekends. He was always there when we needed him and you never had to ask him to help. He just loved the farm. Farming will not be the same without him.

Chris was very proud of his big brother, Bob and his big sister, Jen and looked up to them both. He loved fishing, hockey, golf and many other sports and cooked up a storm in the kitchen. Chris wasn't one to travel the world, he just traveled the countryside to visit his family, grandparents, aunties and uncles, cousins, many other relatives as well as his many friends, neighbors and colleagues to let them know he was thinking of them, to cheer them up, make them smile and share his love for life. Chris took the time to stop and say hi, to wave at you, to honk his horn as he passed by your house, to stop to see if you needed help in the field, to bring you a Pepsi or snack, to drop off some flowers to cheer you up, to chat with you and make you smile. He thrived on spending time with people, young or old, family or friends, or someone he just met. He had a way of making everyone feel very special. He will be terribly missed by all who knew him.

Chris will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Robert and Louise Roy, Saskatoon, SK; his brother, Rob Roy (Angela Skabar), Saskatoon, SK; his sister, Jen Roy (Kelly Wruck), Saskatoon, SK; his grandparents, Duncan and Joan Morrison, St. Louis, SK; Marcel and Theresa Roy, Hoey, SK; his aunts, uncles and cousins, Ann and J.P. Hounjet, Prud'homme, SK, Francois, Norman, Josee, Stephan and Sarah; Betty and Les Rancourt, St. Louis, SK, Angela, Krystal and Michael; Barb and Tom Ward, Ireland; Karen and Dale Bogard, Prince Albert, SK; Randy Zazubek, Prince Albert, SK. The Prayer Vigil was held Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, 114 Kingsmere Place, Saskatoon, SK. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Dominick Nbah at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 10, 2005 at St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, St. Louis, SK. The Interment followed at St. Louis Roman Catholic Cemetery.
